Job Summary
Description: JSerra Catholic High School is seeking a Science Technician to support the Science Department by preparing materials and equipment for laboratory experiments and maintaining a safe, organized laboratory environment. The technician works closely with science teachers to support classroom experiments and demonstrations and helps maintain overall operation of the school’s science laboratories. Responsibilities • Prepare materials, chemicals, and equipment for science laboratory experiments • Set up and clean up laboratory activities and demonstrations • Maintain organization of laboratory spaces and chemical storage areas • Maintain and monitor laboratory equipment • Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and materials • Coordinate ordering and restocking of lab supplies • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and chemical storage regulations • Support science teachers with laboratory preparation and instructional needs
Requirements / Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices • Ability to organize and manage laboratory materials and supplies • Strong attention to detail and safety protocols • Ability to work independently while supporting a team of faculty • Effective communication and problem-solving skills Education & Experience • Coursework in a scientific laboratory discipline preferred • Previous laboratory experience preferred • Experience in an educational or school laboratory environment is a plus
