Senior Logistics Analyst / Life-Cycle and Asset Disposition
As a key member of the CPE AVIATION Logistics & Sustainment team, the Life-Cycle and Asset Disposition SME is responsible for the detailed planning, coordination, and execution of GSA-led exchange sales efforts across the U.S. Army Aviation portfolio. This portfolio includes Attack, Utility, Cargo Helicopters, Fixed Wing Aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Aviation Systems and Support Equipment, Aviation Turbine Engine, Aircraft Components, and Special Projects. This role specializes in all areas of divestiture—including demilitarization, exchange sales, and GSA-led auctions. The SME ensures that all activities are meticulously documented to support auditability and provides crucial data to Army leadership. This position manages complex projects and orchestrates staff synchronization to drive absolute compliance, accuracy, and the successful execution of aviation divestiture programs and audit requirements. This role serves as a subject matter expert on fleet sustainment and total life-cycle support, contributing to digital transformation and enterprise-wide solutions to ensure the long-term health and viability of the aviation fleet. The analyst supports key planning and synchronization meetings across the Army Aviation enterprise, providing critical analysis that informs strategic decisions and shapes the future of Army Aviation. This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
Minimum position requirements:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute exchange sales efforts, specializing in demil, exchange sales, and GSA-led auctions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with all staff elements, including Army G4, DLA, GSA, and Program Managers that leverage the exchange sales program.
- Apply extensive knowledge of the planning and execution of Acquisition Logistics support for all divestment, GSA-led auctions, and exchange sales activities.
- Utilize extensive experience with Army staffing, communications, and coordination processes to secure documentation approval for GSA-led auctions and exchange sales.
- Render accurate input for GAO, AAA, and other audits, and prepare for high-level meetings with senior Army officers and civilians.
- Generate and consolidate Army Aviation data from multiple product offices on all exchange sales efforts.
- Must have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and other essential external applications.
- Must have demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
- Audit and Compliance:Demonstrated expertise in maintaining comprehensive records for aviation asset divestiture actions to ensure rigorous audit compliance and successful outcomes during GAO, AAA, and other high-level program audits.
- Project Management:Expertise in managing multiple, simultaneous projects within total life-cycle management and aviation asset divestiture, demonstrating the ability to work seamlessly with others during complex divestiture projects.
- Technical Expertise:Extensive experience in aviation total life-cycle management, encompassing divestiture, exchange sales, GSA-led auctions, documentation development, and the resolution of complex management and execution issues.
Education: BA/BS in an unrelated field with 10 years of logistics experience. An AA/AS may be substituted for the BA/BS when combined with a total of 15 years of equivalent logistics work experience.
Travel: May require travel up to 20%.
