Senior Logistics Analyst / Life-Cycle and Asset Disposition Lead
Working within the CPE Aviation enterprise, the Life-Cycle and Asset Disposition Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the U.S. Army's strategic goals by managing the divestiture of aviation assets. This position provides expert advice and oversight for the entire multi-billion-dollar U.S. Army Aviation portfolio, which includes Attack, Utility, Cargo Helicopters, Fixed Wing Aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Aviation Systems and Support Equipment, Aviation Turbine Engine, Aircraft Components, and Special Projects. The lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and preparing aviation assets for GSA-led exchange sales and divestitures, ensuring maximum return to the taxpayer. By synchronizing efforts across multiple Army staff elements, this role ensures the smooth and compliant execution of divestiture and preparation for GSA-led exchange sale programs, contributing to the overall sustainability of the Army Aviation force. This role serves as a subject matter expert on fleet sustainment and total life-cycle support, contributing to digital transformation and enterprise-wide solutions to ensure the long-term health and viability of the aviation fleet. The analyst supports key planning and synchronization meetings across the Army Aviation enterprise, providing critical analysis that informs strategic decisions and shapes the future of Army Aviation. This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
Minimum position requirements:
- Provide strategic communications counsel and serve as the Exchange Sale Lead Senior Advisor to CPE/PEO Aviation and staff, specifically focusing on the preparation of assets for GSA-led auctions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the synchronization of all staff elements, including Army OGC, G-3/5/7, G-4, DLA, GSA, and PMs involved in aviation asset divestiture.
- Apply extensive knowledge in the planning, coordination, and execution of Acquisition Logistics support and provide oversight of all divestment and asset preparation activities for GSA-led exchange sales.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of the logistical, financial, and documentation approval processes associated with Army Exchange Sale and aviation asset divestiture.
- Prepare and render input for GAO Inspections, AAA audits, and high-level meetings with senior Army officers and civilians.
- Review, disseminate, consolidate, and report on aviation asset divestiture and exchange sale-related taskers from higher headquarters.
- Analyze Army Aviation data from multiple product offices and external sources to inform all aviation asset divestiture efforts.
- Must have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must have demonstrated experience succeeding while operating in a non-traditional team environment.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage rapidly evolving and complex aviation divestiture projects, lead successful teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic Analysis and Execution: Skilled in leading aviation divestiture, program development, and resolving management issues, with a proven track record of excelling in the preparation of assets for GSA-led exchange sale programs that provide maximum return to the taxpayer.
- Enterprise Collaboration and Communication: Ability to develop strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across the Army Aviation Enterprise, including with customers, senior Army leaders, government action officers, and corporate vendors to gather data and ensure program alignment.
Education: MA/MS in a related or unrelated field with 10 years of logistics experience. A BA/BS may be substituted for the MA/MS when combined with a total of 15 years of equivalent logistics work experience.
Travel: May require travel up to 20%.
