Position Overview:
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel engines and related systems. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and performance of our fleet, helping us to meet our customers' needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
- Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
- Prepare work orders and order parts
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Working on 389 Pete’s
- Be proficient in after treatment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ISX Diesel Engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License
- Must have Valid CDL
