Join our team as a Land Surveyor/Party Chief and contribute to a dynamic environment focused on precision and accuracy in land surveying. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with expertise in land surveying techniques and technologies to support our projects. A qualified candidate should have an excellent understanding of the principles of land surveying and a understanding of the fundamentals of boundary surveying and boundary line retracement. Responsibilities
- Field Surveyor: MUST have at least 5 years of experience in the field as a surveyor. A thorough understanding of the necessary monument recovery, research and data collection to complete an ALTA Survey, Site plans and topographic surveying is a must. Willingness to travel throughout the Southern California area and sometime northern California will be expected. Little to no construction staking required. If you’re tired of banging stakes in the ground and a backhoe chasing you across the site, this is the position for you. We specialize in ALTA and topographic surveys with little interest construction surveys. Experience with Javad GPS and Carlson field collection a bonus. You will be required to use CAD to extract your field data to send to the office for boundary work. This is a completely independent position and you will not be required to report to an office.
- Maintain thorough records of field notes, survey data, and project documentation while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Requirements
- Proven CALIFORNA experience as a Land Surveyor or Party Chief (5 years) with a strong background in land surveying techniques, specifically ALTA surveys and boundary.
- Proficiency with GPS technology, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, or similar CAD programs
- Skilled in operating survey equipment including total stations, Leica and Javad devices
- Knowledge of land surveying standards such as ALTA and Topographic surveys
- Strong understanding of math concepts including trigonometry, algebra, geometry and their applications in surveying tasks
- Strong data analysis skills for interpreting survey data accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with project teams and documenting survey results effectively
