Litigation Paralegal

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Litigation Paralegal to join our Supercar Claims - Diminished Value team. This role involves providing support with client communications and updates, maintaining and reviewing case documentation as well as preparation and filing of court documents. The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of paralegal experience related to prelitigation and/or litigation matters, a solid understanding of insurance processes, some automotive knowledge, and proficiency in utilizing technology to effectively document and manage case files.
Key Responsibilities:
•Client Communication: Communicating with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
•Case Management: Organizing and maintaining case files, updating records, and managing correspondence.
•Document Preparation: Drafting, reviewing and filing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and exhibits.
•Legal Research: Conducting research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
•Trial Preparation: Assisting with trial preparation, including creating exhibits, organizing evidence, and managing trial logistics.
•Discovery Support: Assisting with all stages of discovery, including preparing written discovery requests and responses, document collection, and managing document databases.
•Scheduling: Coordinating and scheduling depositions, court appearances, and meetings.
•Filing: Preparing and filing court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Strong organizational and communication skills
•Proficiency in legal software and document management systems such as Aderant Total Office, Microsoft OneDrive, Word and Excel.
•Understanding of legal terminology and procedures
•Knowledge of the litigation process and court rules
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
•Experience in a law firm or legal setting
•Certification as a paralegal is preferred
Preferred Schedule:
•Monday – Friday
•Typically, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
