RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant Teacher:
- Work cooperatively with the lead teacher in teaching and implementing activities and plans as described above
- Implement activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group.
- Work with the Lead Teacher to plan, discuss and implement daily plans in accordance with the current curriculum, incorporating the Ohio Department of Education Standards.
- Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback

REQUIREMENTS
- Proven teaching experience
- Excellent understanding of the principals of child development and a love for children with a strong desire to teach and make a difference
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Reliable
- Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple situations effectively
- Organized with attention to detail
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of an Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate credential) or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience
The following certifications are required: First-Aid, Communicable Disease, CPR (infant/child/adult) and Child Abuse Certifications within 90 days

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
