Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation between Portuguese or Spanish speakers and English-speaking team members during meetings, calls, and events
- Accurately translate written documents, emails, and other communications to ensure clarity and understanding
- Assist with cultural nuances to promote effective and respectful communication
- Support onboarding sessions by interpreting for new Portuguese or Spanish-speaking employees
- Collaborate with team members to identify language needs and develop tailored solutions for better engagement
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times when handling sensitive information
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance language proficiency and interpretation skills
Experience
- Fluency in both Portuguese (or Spanish) and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience as an interpreter or translator in a professional setting is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and audiences
- Knowledge of cultural contexts relevant to Portuguese or Spanish-speaking communities
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles is a plus
