Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Supervisor: Joquetta Ezell
Classification: Non-Exempt
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing basic medical attention and care to patients while assessing their wellbeing. The care is customized according to the clients’ care plan and can include all the duties listed below.
Job Duties Can Include:
- Provide routine care
- Observe patients’ health
- Assist doctors and registered nurses
- Communicate instructions to patients regarding medication, home-based care, and preventative lifestyle changes
- Check vital signs
- Record patients’ medical history
- Assist patients with hygiene
- Change bandages, catheters, and IV’s
- Follow all safety protocols
- Feed patients who are unable to feed themselves
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Experience in providing adult home care.
- Active listening.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively build relationships.
Requirements:
- LPN Certification
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent Customer Service Experience
- Food Handler Card
- Communicate effectively with all clients
- Reliable transportation to and from worksite locations and insurance
- Cheerful outlook.
- Must pass background check
