Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper handling of linens, towels, and other fabrics to ensure a high standard of hygiene and presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing with a focus on quality and efficiency. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, as it helps ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently and safely.
- Sort linens and fabrics according to type and cleaning requirements.
- Perform cleaning tasks including stain removal and fabric inspection to maintain quality standards.
- Handle delicate items with care, including dry cleaning processes when necessary.
- Fold, package, and organize clean linens for distribution or storage.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Ironing clothing on an as-need basis
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Experience
- Prior experience in laundry services is preferred.
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of laundry procedures including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and stain treatment.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining a focus on cleanliness standards.
- Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
