Job Description:
Description: The Inventory Control Clerk II coordinates all clinical and non-clinical supply ordering and receiving. This job provides back-up to other staff as needed.
Typical Duties
- Serves both the interdepartmental and intradepartmental customers; interacts with outside agencies and vendors as well.
- Inventories and orders pharmaceutical and medical supplies in accordance with PAR levels.
- Maintains work area/stock in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Organizes and maintains cleanliness of stock room(s).
- Ensures treatment areas have appropriate type and volume of supplies to facilitate patient care.
- Assists manager with product selection by interfacing with vendors, as requested.
- Assists central supply and pharmacy supervisor to develop and maintain PAR levels of supplies.
- Acts as a resource to departmental staff regarding emergency department supply items.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
