Job Description
The Stock Borrow Loan Middle office's main function is to facilitate and control the end to end life cycle of Equity Borrow and Loan activity in North America.
As a Trade Specialist within the Stock Borrow Loan Middle Office, you will liaise with external counterparties & traders on a daily basis. Regulatory reporting, client onboarding and collateral (cash and stock) management are the main functions of the team along with the control and clearance of all exceptions and cash flows that the trade lifecycle creates.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily collateral exposure management
- Manage counterparty relationships
- Support the daily requirements of the Stock Borrow Loan Front Office
- Liaise with clients, counterparties and traders to investigate & resolve any trade exceptions
- Reconcile & investigate all key controls within the trade life-cycle
- Produce daily metrics in relation to key risk and performance indicators
- Support the regulatory reporting requirements
- Support the new and incremental client onboarding agenda, working with Know Your Client, Legal and Credit team
- Provide exception management and updates to supervisors
- Well motivated and enthusiastic
- Good communication skills and ability to develop relationships with internal and external parties
- Highly numeric person with excellent attention to detail in all areas
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment, meeting tight deadlines on a daily basis
- Ability to quickly learn complicated operations tools and systems through 1:1 training
- Ability to work as a team player
- Strong Data analytics and accuracy
- Basic experience with excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrate an understanding of how operations interacts with relevant businesses
- Experience in proactively identifying areas for process, productivity, quality and control improvement
- Willingness to invest time in keeping up to date on industry standards
- Proficient with excel and other Microsoft Office applications
