Job Responsibilities
- Research and resolve check processing issues, including transactions posted to incorrect accounts, payment amount discrepancies, and account balance differences, ensuring all corrections are completed accurately and within established timeframes.
- Reconcile accounts by identifying root causes of posting errors and executing appropriate corrections in accordance with established procedures.
- Proactively identify and address errors or processing issues before they escalate, taking corrective action in a timely manner.
- Prioritize competing investigative tasks effectively in alignment with organizational deadlines, service level agreements (SLAs), and business urgency.
- Apply attention to detail and quality control measures when reviewing and resolving transactions to minimize risk and errors.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of experience in an operations or transaction processing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies, including check processing and account reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of posting errors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
- Familiarity with check processing, account reconciliation, or payment investigation workflows.
- Background and working knowledge of Regulation E (Reg E) and ECCHO guidelines as they apply to transaction processing and dispute resolution.
- Developing knowledge of automation and process optimization tools or technologies.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm full time onsite.
