Solutions Analyst III - SAP FI & S/4HANA

As a Solutions Analyst III in Corporate Technology, you will aid in bridging the gap between product owners, business, operations, and software developers by leveraging your technical fluency and strong analytical reasoning skills. Your responsibilities will include eliciting and documenting business and data flow requirements, translating them into well-structured and technically feasible solutions. Your adaptability and ability to lead through change will enable you to navigate complex situations and manage dependencies effectively. With a strong foundation in data analytics and technical solutions, you will contribute to the development of innovative architecture designs and data-driven insights that guide business decisions. Drive the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA Finance General Ledger solutions—including multi-currency functionality—by partnering with Controllers and global teams to optimize close processes, ensure compliance, and deliver continuous improvements in financial data quality.

Job responsibilities 

• Design, configure, and deploy SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, focusing on General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, and integration with Controlling and Asset Accounting.
• Lead fit/gap analysis, blueprinting, and end-to-end GL process design in partnership with Controllers and Finance teams.
• Optimize and support month/quarter/year-end close activities (revaluations, accruals, reconciliations), ensuring audit and compliance controls.
• Conduct structured testing (regression and non-regression) internally and with users for rollouts and upgrades.
• Own GL solution design, period-close orchestration, statutory/management reporting, and integration touchpoints.
• Collaborate across global teams, producing clear functional specifications and driving continuous improvements to shorten close cycles and improve data quality.
• Engage in requirement analysis and review, eliciting and documenting business and data flow requirements.
• Communicate efficiently with global teams, both verbally and in writing, to resolve gaps and issues.
• Provide user support and ensure stabilization of SAP FI solutions post-deployment.
• Exhibit expertise in application, data, business processes, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Work effectively with developers, business analysts, project managers, and business users to ensure requirements are accurately captured and implemented.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

• 3 years of experience or equivalent expertise in solutions analysis, technical program delivery, or a related field.
• 5 years overall IT experience with strong SAP Finance focus; hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance is required.
• 3 years dedicated SAP FI experience with at least 2 full life-cycle implementations/rollouts, including ownership of GL design and configuration.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize business processes within SAP FI, driving operational efficiency and compliance.
• Expert knowledge in FI activities pertaining to General Ledger Accounting & Reporting.
• Good understanding of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable activities, including external integrations for bank payments and customer/vendor management.
• Experience with SAP FI backend tables and initial debugging skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across Finance and Technology.
• Ability to write clear Functional Specifications (FSD) for FI-related developments and coordinate delivery with technical teams.
• Experience planning and executing regression and non-regression testing for upgrades/rollouts; familiarity with test management and defect processes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

• SAP S/4HANA certification or equivalent credentials.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for enhancing user experience and integrating cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency with FI customizations and enhancements (validations/substitutions via BRF /classic, BTE/BAdI coordination) and transport/change management.
• Strong team and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure in a multi-task environment and with moderate ambiguity.
• Good understanding of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices.
