What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Operator - Transportation Equipment Operator position at JP Mercer Inc?
JP Mercer Inc. / WatersEdge Pools is looking for an experienced CDL Driver to safely transport equipment and materials to and from job sites. This is not strictly a driving position. Drivers are expected to assist the crew in the field whenever deliveries are complete.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a hardworking team and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles.
- Transport aggregate, equipment, soil, and construction materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Secure loads according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload equipment when necessary.
- Assist with excavation, grading, and pool installation projects after deliveries.
- Help maintain equipment and vehicles.
- Follow all DOT and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- DOT Medical Card.
- Experience operating dump trucks and trailers preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor.
- Strong work ethic.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
