Job Summary
We are a brand new company, looking to hire a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism and other behavioral challenges. As a BCBA, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and providing guidance to staff and families to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to support patient care.
- Provide training and support to staff on behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Engage with families to educate them on treatment goals and strategies for reinforcing positive behaviors at home.
- Stay current with developments in the field of behavioral health and special education.
Skills
- Proficient in applied behavior analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with similar developmental challenges.
- Knowledge of special education practices and regulations.
- Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' needs.
- Ability to assess patient behaviors effectively and develop tailored intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members, patients, and families.
