Joyce Meyer Ministries is looking for a Security Officer to join our distinguished security team with our St. Louis Dream Center. Do you have a safety and security mindset? The purpose of this job is to provide safety and security for staff, business visitors and the general public while on St Louis Dream Center property.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of the staff and guests of St Louis Dream Center property by monitoring on site activities.
- Observe property activities, monitor and respond to alarms and document property activity in daily log.
- Conduct patrols, investigations, crowd management, loss prevention duties, and first responder alerts.
- Greet employees and visitors as they arrive on St Louis Dream Center property.
- Create and maintain security files.
- Notify appropriate department when visitor arrives and direct visitor to appropriate location.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience.
- Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment; including skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of proper use of baton and OC pepper spray.
- Condition of employment will require background check clearance upon hire.
- Ability to work with all levels within an organization.
- Interpersonal skills to handle and deal with sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to react quickly and responsibly under pressure.
- Availability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Ability to remain on-call 24/7.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED.
- CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens.
- AED Certification & Red Cross training.
