Job details:

Our job is Monday through Friday no weekends, our job begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 12:00 am. It is a full time evening position that is 7 hours a result, so the total hours per week are 35 hours. Our starting pay is $17.00 a hour, but our pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of floors through buffing, floor care treatments, and routine maintenance to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-preserved.
• Operate cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, and other custodial tools, ensuring they are properly maintained and stored.
• Follow safety protocols consistently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution, contributing to the overall upkeep of the property.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, sanitation practices, and the operation of cleaning equipment like buffers and vacuums.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently during evening shifts.
• Customer service mindset with a professional attitude when interacting with team members or visitors.
