Since the 1960s, Joy Wine and Spirits has been a neighborhood cornerstone—first as a pharmacy, and since the 1990s, as a vibrant destination for wine, beer, and spirits under the stewardship of Carolyn Joy. We serve Capitol Hill, Alamo Placita, Country Club, and surrounding Denver communities with a deep commitment to hospitality, curiosity, and connection. Now, we’re looking for Retail Sales and Merchandising Associates who share our passion for people and product. What You’ll Do

At Joy Wine and Spirits, we don’t just sell bottles—we build relationships. As a Retail Associate, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, high-touch team that thrives on connection, curiosity, and hustle. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting guests with warmth and confidence, making every visit feel personal
• Moving fluidly between tasks—stocking shelves, ringing up purchases, receiving deliveries, and resetting displays
• Learning on the job—growing your product knowledge and sales strategy through hands-on experience
• Keeping the store clean, organized, and visually sharp throughout your shift
• Collaborating with teammates to meet store goals and create a welcoming environment

• Must be at least 21 years old and legally able to sell alcohol
• Friendly, outgoing, and adaptable—able to pivot quickly without losing your cool
• Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, move around the store, and stay on your feet during a 4–8 hour shift
• Comfortable with basic technology (POS systems, inventory lookups) and open to learning more
• Punctual, honest, and ready to contribute to a team that values trust and accountability
• Available to work a variety of shifts—including day, night, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

These aren’t strict requirements—but they’ll help you hit the ground running:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Availability for both day and night shifts
