Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and patient Driving Instructor to join our team in Bayside, Queens. The ideal candidate is comfortable teaching students one-on-one and is able to communicate in both Korean and English.
The instructor will provide behind-the-wheel lessons and help students develop the skills and confidence needed to drive safely and prepare for the New York State road test.
Responsibilities
- Provide behind-the-wheel driving instruction to students
- Teach safe driving practices, traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques
- Help students prepare for the New York State road test
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students
- Communicate with students regarding their progress and areas for improvement
- Maintain a professional and patient learning environment
- Keep accurate records of lessons and student progress
- Follow all applicable New York State driving and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Reliable and punctual
- Patient and comfortable working with students
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driving School Instructor Certificate/Card (MV-524 or equivalent)
- Previous driving instruction experience
- Korean and English speaking
- Experience preparing students for the NYS road test
- Familiarity with Bayside and the surrounding Queens area
Schedule
- Flexible part-time schedule
- Scheduling based on student and instructor availability
- Weekday and/or weekend availability preferred
