What You Will Be Doing
- Keep logs and schedule times on all preventive maintenance that needs to be performed.
- Inventory and prepare supply orders including but not limited to:
- Light bulbs
- Ballasts
- Tools
- Paint and other miscellaneous maintenance supplies.
- Keep branches stocked with paper supplies, hand soap, and other janitorial supplies (i.e. paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
- Maintain outside lighting. Write up work orders for outside electricians.
- Understand and operate hand and power tools as needed
- Maintain proper lighting in both public and employee work areas as well as adhering to codes for ATM lighting.
- Be aware of any safety issues that need to be addressed and keep dept management aware of deficiencies
- Prepare branches for inclement weather such as supplying salt, shovels and wet vacuum as needed.
- Facilitate plumbing and electrical and other facilities repairs, handling the work for minor repairs and coordinating vendors for major repairs.
- Builds, assembles, transports, and installs and or repair facility furnishings and fixtures.
- High School graduate must have a clean valid NYS license.
- Employee must be mechanically inclined with a background in maintenance work.
- Employee must demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.
