Hiring: Senior Manager, Carrier Strategy | Lisle, IL | Onsite 5 days/week
A client of ours is looking for a Senior Manager, Carrier Strategy to own the carrier-side.
The role: You'll lead a team of 5 (with plans to grow), and be accountable for carrier sourcing, onboarding, vetting, and network optimization across temp-controlled, pharmaceutical, electronics, and high-risk/high-value freight.
This goes beyond daily load management. You'll build the go-to-market strategy for how carriers are identified, qualified, and engaged. Actively filling gaps in geography, equipment, insurance, and service capability to support margin expansion.
What we are looking for:
- Carrier sales leadership experience at a scaled brokerage
- A background in temp-controlled, pharma, electronics, or high-insurance freight
- A track record of building systems and strategy, not just running operations
- A team management background with a bias toward ownership and hustle
Comp: $110K–$150K base 25% variable, driven by volume, gross profit, quality, and network growth.
