Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM with 2 hour lunch
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculam that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development, positive behavior management, and classroom management strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress updates, discuss developmental stages, and foster collaborative relationships
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child progress and incidents
- Conduct classroom activities that support childhood development instruction, including standardized testing preparations when applicable
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential but not necessary
- Demonstrated classroom experience with toddler care or preschool teaching
- Familiarity with curriculum development
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration are crucial
- Experience with special education needs or early intervention programs is a valuable asset
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but we will help you obtain
