Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and energetic Quality Control Inspector to inspect precision sheet metal parts to ensure they meet quality and blueprint requirements. This role reports to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities
- Visually and mechanically inspect fabricated sheet metal parts throughout the manufacturing process
- Read and interpret blue prints, including tolerance requirements
- Document inspection results accurately and on time
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and protractors) and equipment to verify part dimensions
- Work with manufacturing staff to identify and correct quality issues
- Organize and maintain quality records and documentation
- Escalate issues to management
- Participate in continuous improvement
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a quality inspector or precision sheet metal experience in a job shop environment
- Strong blueprint reading skills including GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring and test equipment
- Excellent attention to detail
- ISO9001/AS9100 experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Math skills and analytical ability
- Can work well with others in a diverse group and foster cooperative work environment
- Capable of frequent standing, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
