Responsibilities
- Issue suggested purchase orders based upon MRP system suggestions and customer demand.
- Request changes to purchase order dates from suppliers based upon MRP system suggestions and demand changes.
- Update MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected inventory.
- Monitor open purchase orders and ensure on-time receipt.
- Issue purchase orders to support engineering changes.
- Customer Management
- Update the business on the status and direction of your business on a daily basis or as required.
- Update internal customers supply issues and drive them to resolution.
- Coordinate engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.
- Supplier Management
- Update purchase orders as required.
- Manage supplier to maintain continuity of supply and product availability.
- Challenge all price increase requests from suppliers and escalate if unsuccessful.
- Serve as single point of contact for suppliers for SICR/Change Order tracking and prioritization.
- Hold suppliers accountable to shipment plan.
- BS degree in business or related discipline.
- 0 - 2 Years of procurement work experience.
- Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be PC literate.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Preferred Functional skills –MRP, PC proficiency, purchasing system/procedures, supplier management.
