Production Line Lead

Job Title: Production Line Lead - 1st Shift 
Location: Macungie, PA
Type:  6 month Contract To Hire
Compensation: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hour  

 

Overview: 

Reputable industry leader is seeking a Line Lead for their pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations in Macungie, PA! 

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing employees’ activities within assigned manufacturing room(s) or areas to meet daily production schedules
• Communicate supervisor’s job orders to employees and ensure all batch record entries are completed
• Maintain line/area in an orderly and safe manner while adhering to GMPs
• Monitor packaging operations for optimal performance and assist with reporting production metrics
• Train designated peers as needed, complete line/area changeovers, and oversee cleaning and check procedures
• Conduct attendance checks, support training initiatives, and coordinate priority setups/startups
• Provide status updates to management and ensure lines/areas are ready as scheduled
• Ensure batch record corrections are completed timely and recommend process and equipment improvements
• Troubleshoot work issues, assist with deviations and investigations, and perform other duties as assigned

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA/BT) in a technical discipline OR Associate’s degree with 3–5 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in pharmaceutical or related industry inspection required
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Prior leadership experience (conflict resolution, critical thinking, communication) required
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and focus adjustment
