Job Title: Manufacturing Document Technician I
Location: Round Lake, IL
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (Some weekend work required)
Type: Contract
The Manufacturing Document Technician supports quality systems by creating, verifying, and organizing documentation required for manufacturing and product release. This role performs data review, maintains controlled materials, and assists in ensuring compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, coordination, and the ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
ResponsibilitiesCreate, verify, and distribute quality documentation required for manufacturing and batch release.
Make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results to support quality processes.
Assist Document Center Technicians with routine documentation and office tasks.
Maintain department equipment and manage inventory levels for controlled materials.
Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate to Quality supervision or management.
Support both Drug Delivery and Penicillin facilities as needed.
Work flexible hours, including some weekends, to meet production schedules.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic science, math, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within procedural and regulatory frameworks.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours with minimal supervision; availability for some weekend work.
Not allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
Preferred:
Experience with current Good Manufacturing & Documentation Practices (GMP/GDP) in pharma or medical device manufacturing.
Six months of experience in manufacturing or quality environments.
