Jostens is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Systems Technician Operator to join our team and support the operation of graphic systems and related technologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Sr. Graphic Systems Engineer with Prinergy Systems and Pre-press workflow systems, design and configuration. You will monitor and support these systems for problems, provide solutions and make corrections. You will help and support production operators who use these systems.
YOU HAVE:
- Education: Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field preferred, and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2 years of experience working in a computer systems environment.
- Technical Skills: 2-3 years of experience in Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator & Acrobat. Excellent Skills in MS Office Suite & Outlook email.
- Problem-Solving: Enjoys trouble-shooting and demonstrates problem solving abilities to fix technical issues & provide recommendations.
- Customer Service skills: Great customer service skills are essential to the role, you should enjoy working with others, on an individual, workgroup, and interdepartmental basis.
- Multi-Tasker: The ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under the pressure of deadlines.
- Adaptability: You should be able to follow written and verbal instructions, and adapt to changing priorities. You must be flexible to learn and use new technologies as needed.
- Physical requirements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Accountability. Excellent attendance and performance record.
- Preferred skills: Knowledge of Enfocus, PitStop, Kodak Preps, EFI Metrix & Imposition Software. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
YOU WILL:
- Provide Graphic Systems Support. Assist Sr. Graphic Systems Engineer with daily operations and scheduled maintenance of Prinergy Systems, Prepress Systems and Prepress Workflows.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve. Apply expertise to identify and document Prinergy & Pre-press Systems problems, troubleshoot & execute resolutions.
- Multi-Department Assistance. Work with multiple production printing departments and operations to resolve issues and to establish more efficient methods and work habits towards enhancing quality of output devices and final product, whether analog or digital.
- Technical Knowledge. Maintain intermediate to advanced knowledge of all Prinergy Systems, Pre-press Systems and applications used. Keep up to date with new technologies and share knowledge with others.
- Customer Service & Team Work. Provide excellent internal and external customer service by collaborating and communicating well with other team members, external customers and across departments. Support team, maintain a positive attitude and train others as needed.
