Essential Responsibilities And Metrics
- Providing psychiatric assessments and documentation including:
- Chief Complaint
- History of Present Illness
- Past Mental Health History
- Previous Medical History
- Review of Systems
- Substance Use Screening
- Social, Family, and Developmental history
- Mental Status Exam
- Assessment/Diagnoses
- Prescribing of psychotropic medications as indicated
- Appropriate follow-up care of clients to monitor treatment response
- Recommendation of other medical care or therapies that may be helpful to the patient
- Provides high-quality service and maintains 70% of direct service hours per month
- All Progress Notes are entered into the medical record as soon as possible, and in no more than three (3) business days from the date of service
- Participation in the multi-disciplinary approach to client care
- Psychoeducation of patients and families about the nature and course of illness, prognosis of the condition, rationale for medications prescribed and a discussion of risks, benefits and potential side effects (long & short term)
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Participate and provide supervision of the multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and provide consultation as needed
- Maintain active role in treatment team and with staff
- Coordinate medical aspects of treatment with Nurse, Care Coordinator and Case Managers
- Seek supervision from supervising PMHNP and/or Josselyn’s Medical Director as appropriate
- MSN/DNP degree with specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse IL license and board certification to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Current controlled substance and DEA licenses
- Malpractice coverage is active at a minimum of $1,000,000 / $3,000,000 per center requirements
Salary : $1,000,000 - $3,000,000
