Role Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Kids Footwear Designer to join our on-site team in Carlsdt, NJ. The role involves conceptualizing and creating innovative footwear designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to production. Responsibilities include creating technical drawings, preparing mood boards, and developing product designs that align with market trends. The designer will also participate in product development processes to ensure quality and design alignment with brand standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and creating accurate, detailed design schematics
- Expertise in Product Design and Industrial Design, with a strong sense of style and creativity
- Experience creating Mood Boards to visualize design concepts and trends
- Knowledge of Product Development processes, including materials, manufacturing, and quality control
- Strong understanding of kids' footwear trends, design aesthetics, and consumer needs
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment and communicate design ideas effectively
- Proficiency in design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD)
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in footwear design, specifically children’s footwear, is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
