The Role: As our Arborist Account Manager, you will be the face of the Joshua Tree Experience in Birmingham. You will spend your days diagnosing tree health, designing comprehensive preservation plans, and converting your expert recommendations into sold contracts, ensuring your clients' properties thrive for generations.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Consultative Sales & Preservation: Meet with property owners to perform detailed site inspections, diagnose insect/disease issues, and educate them-ultimately converting that expertise into closed, recurring Plant Health Care (PHC) and tree care contracts.
- Territory Growth: Actively hunt for new business and grow your book by networking within the community, generating referrals, and building long-term, trust-based relationships with homeowners who value premium service.
- Expert Estimating: Calculate accurate job costs, map out detailed treatment plans, and deliver professional, timely proposals that win the business and focus on the long-term health of the property.
- Operational Handoffs: Partner seamlessly with our production crews and Plant Health Care specialists. You will clearly communicate the scientific scope of work so that what you sold is exactly what gets executed safely.

- Arboriculture Expertise: Deep working knowledge of tree identification, local arboriculture, insect and disease management, and soil health.
- Proven Sales Ability: 2 years of experience in account management, estimating, or consultative sales within the green industry. You must know how to build a pipeline, handle objections, and close deals without compromising our tree-first philosophy.
- The "Consultative Closer" Mindset: A true passion for the outdoors and the ability to translate complex tree science into clear, persuasive advice that convinces clients to invest in their property.
- Tech-Savvy & Organized: Ability to manage your sales pipeline, prioritize follow-ups, and utilize our CRM and estimating software with precision.
- Credentials: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- ISA Certified Arborist credential (If you are close to testing, we will support you in achieving this!).
- Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) or Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) certifications.
- State Pesticide Applicator's License.
