Custom Clothing Shop Assistant
Joshua Gold Custom Clothier | Royal Oak, MI
Joshua Gold Custom Clothier is a luxury custom clothier specializing in personalized menswear, custom tailoring, wardrobe consulting, and an elevated client experience. We are looking for a Shop Assistant to join our team at our Royal Oak showroom.

About the Role
The Shop Assistant helps keep our showroom, client appointments, garments, and day-to-day operations running smoothly. This person will work closely with our clothiers and operations team to ensure every client receives the level of service and attention to detail that Joshua Gold is known for.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the showroom for client appointments and maintain a polished, organized environment
- Assist with client arrivals, fittings, pickups, and garment organization
- Receive, organize, label, and prepare garments for fittings and client pickups
- Assist with steaming, folding, packaging, and general garment care
- Help coordinate and track incoming and outgoing garments
- Support the team with errands, deliveries, and other showroom-related tasks as needed
- Keep fabric, accessories, samples, and other showroom materials organized
- Assist with preparing for trunk shows, events, and client appointments
- Provide friendly, professional support to clients when they visit the showroom
- Help with general administrative and operational tasks as needed

- Friendly and confident when interacting with clients

- Comfortable handling clothing and maintaining a high standard of presentation
- A team player who is willing to jump in wherever help is needed
- Interested in menswear, fashion, tailoring, or luxury service
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, menswear, tailoring, customer service, or a similar environment is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays or additional hours as needed for events
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time. If interested in part time (20-30 hours a week), This opportunity will offer great flexibility and work around your scheduling needs.
Compensation: $18-$20/hour, depending on experience. Healthcare and clothing allowance options also available.
