What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Associate position at Joseph Machine Company Inc?
Job Summary:
The shipping and receiving associate receives incoming shipments by inspecting, counting, verifying products and materials. Documentation of any shortages, damages, or discrepancies. The associate will collaborate and communicate with parts/service for the shipment of outgoing parts/packages. Will maintain a clean, neat work area. Maintains accurate inventory and correct counts. Engages with customers, suppliers and drivers with a positive, respectful attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness.
- Receives products, materials, and supplies accurately, reporting any discrepancies.
- Pull & charge parts from inventory and issue to the proper job.
- Assist in pulling and shipping outgoing spare parts orders with proper UPS/FedEx shipping documents and enter the freight charges on spare part invoices.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Return unused parts from the assembly carts to inventory or back to the supplier.
- Any other workrelated duties assigned by the department manager

Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Basic arithmetic
- Basic Computer Skills a must/Visual experience a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and other drawings/mechanical background a plus
- Plan/Organize Use time efficiently and keeps workplace clean and organized
- Punctual/Consistent Attendance a must
- Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency with current workload
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
