We are seeking a motivated and skilled Appliance Repair Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone to service throughout Superior/Duluth/Twin Ports and someone to service throughout NW Wisconsin, Hayward, Spooner/Rice Lake. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of household appliances and commercial equipment. Your expertise will help ensure our customers receive prompt, reliable service, enhancing their everyday lives. Northwest WI specific coverage area seed point would be Spooner, Rice Lake, Hayward, Minong, and surrounding.

Duluth, MN specific coverage area seed point is Duluth, MN with travel to service calls in the surrounding areas, Superior, WI, and parts of NW WI. Along with service call provisions up the MN North Shore.

You'll be home dispatched with a well-equipped late model service van equipped with GPS, on board iPad with WIFI/internet, computerized dispatch and job ticket system, complete truck stock parts inventory with top failed parts stocked, and specialized tools for completing repairs. It will be the responsibility of the technician to provide his or her own primary hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, etc. Our dispatch team fields calls and schedules customers then dispatches them through to our technicians in a commonsense routing method.

Summary:

Jordan Repair Service LLC of Trego Wisconsin is actively searching for a qualified In-Home Appliance Repair Technician to service customers throughout our NW WI service area and our Duluth, MN area. The position offers work during the normal hours of operation which are Monday through Friday 8 am until 4 pm with occasional lighter days, and occasional heavy days with overtime.

Responsibilities:

- As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances and other equipment.

- You also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work and additional products/services.

- This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and effectively manage time to meet deadlines

- Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home

- Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed

- Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and presentable.

- Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required

- Perform other duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related positions

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

- Protect the customer’s property and home while working by using safe, damage free work methods.

Qualifications:

- 2 years previous experience repairing appliances is a minimum OR successfully graduating an accredited appliance repair technician program.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Proficiency in navigating tablet-based technology

- The ability to safely lift to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances

- Flexible and variable hours (no weekends) typically 30-40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

- Present a neat, clean, professional appearance while interacting with the customer

- High School graduate or equivalent.

- Proficiency in speaking/writing English

- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug/driving/criminal background screening.

- Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Be on time to work daily as scheduled.

- Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics required.

- Skills using computer tablet technology proficiently.

- EPA 608 REFRIGERATION CERTIFICATION is desired. Will train the right candidate if other proficiencies meet or exceed requirements.

- Successfully pass our Appliance Repair Technician Exam.

- Technician will provide their own basic hand tools and power tools with specialty tools and equipment being provided for usage by the company.

Compensation: $24 - $39.60 per hour depending on qualifications
