Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dealership Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our dealership’s service and sales teams. Your leadership will drive efficiency, optimize supply chain processes, and foster strong relationships with suppliers to maintain a robust parts inventory. Duties

  • Manage the entire parts inventory lifecycle, including sourcing, ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of parts while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), suppliers, and logistics providers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and parts administration using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and inventory management software such as AS400 or similar platforms.
  • Coordinate demand planning based on service department needs, sales forecasts, and historical data to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
  • Supervise logistics activities related to shipping & receiving, order management system updates, and internal communication across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation protocols and warehouse safety procedures.
  • Utilize data entry skills for accurate record keeping in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ERP systems, and other inventory management tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support RV diagnostics knowledge to better understand parts compatibility and vehicle systems for customer service excellence.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in supply chain management within an RV dealership or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven supplier management experience with strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Deep understanding of RV parts management, sourcing strategies, and inventory control systems.
  • Proficiency in logistics inventory management, procurement management, demand planning, and shipping & receiving operations.
  • Familiarity with RV diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts sourcing, auto body repair processes, and OEM standards.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management including forklift operation certification; knowledge of safety protocols is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (such as AS400), inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent internal communication skills for coordinating between service departments, suppliers, logistics teams, and customers.
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with parts administration expertise enables effective decision-making in sourcing and procurement activities.

Pay: $50,117.59 - $60,356.67 per year
