Joplin Primary Care is seeking a full time lead medical receptionist with prior experience in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a steady flow of patients. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of patient care.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet and assist in person and over the phone with professionalism and compassion
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Answer a busy multiline phone system. Triage patient needs and communicate with medical staff to meet the needs of the patients.
- Verify patient information and update electronic health records. (EHR)
- Check insurance eligibility and obtain necessary documentation
- Ensure HIPPA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
- Scan medical records into EHR system
Qualifications:
- Medical office experience required
- Experience using an EHR required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work well in a team oriented environment while staying calm under pressure
