English Teacher (TK–8th Grade) Part-Time
2026–2027 School Year

Joobilo Academic Community is seeking enthusiastic, engaging, and student-centered teachers to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently hiring three English teachers to teach TK–8th grade classes at multiple Southern California locations. All classes are taught in person.

Position Details
- Part-Time opportunities available
- In-person instruction only
- One campus location per teaching day
- Paid prep and grading time in addition to classroom hours
- Teaching assignments may include elementary and/or junior high students
- Understanding of Classical Education is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire a love of learning
- Implement curriculum and instructional activities effectively
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and expectations
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, families, colleagues, and supervisors
- Maintain attendance records and other required documentation
- Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment for all students
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (credential not required)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe and academically focused classroom
- Experience developing and implementing curriculum and lesson plans
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students and families
- Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and move throughout the classroom as needed
Compensation
- Starting at $23-$28 per hour, depending on experience
- Additional paid preparation and grading time
