Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Events Lead, the Summer Events Team will be in charge of the JonnyPops Donation Calendar and Events Schedule, attending 100 events throughout the Summer and distributing hundreds of thousands of JonnyPops throughout Minnesota (and beyond)! Event vs. In-office work will be approximately 90% events, 10% in-office (with variation week to week, subject to change based on brand needs).

This position does require applicants to be available to work nights and weekends. You will always have 2 days per week off to make up for those days, but having weekends as part of your work schedule is non-negotiable as most large-scale events happen Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
The start and end dates of this position are firm! All Summer Event Team Interns will be required to work shifts at the Minnesota State Fair, which ends on September 7th.

Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly events throughout Minnesota (with the potential to travel outside the state) handing out pops and living the joy and kindness of the JonnyPops brand!
- Coordinate 300 donation pick-ups from Twin Cities schools and non-profits. Lock in dates, timing, marketing materials, and ensure they receive the pops they need!
- Be the face of JonnyPops! Be an expert on the company, the product, and have a blast sharing the joy of JonnyPops!
- Ideate ways to improve the JonnyPops event and donation process and implement these ideas throughout the summer!
Food Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow hygienic practices when handling any food items, e.g. for donations
- Clearly reflect food safety and quality as part of the JP brand, when planning and executing projects, and while interacting with relevant external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in office out of both of our locations: Elk River, MN & Plymouth, MN
- Strong interest in Event Planning and Coordination. Attending events will be your main role throughout the summer!
- Highly enthusiastic individual who loves to interact with others and thinks a summer at JonnyPops sounds like an absolute blast! (It is!)
- Motivated self-starter, open to a challenge, and quick to brainstorm and problem solve. Open to constructive feedback and not easily discouraged by set-backs.
- Flexible, adaptive, collaborative team player. Ready to jump in to help in any scenario!
- Strong attention to detail – Applicant must be able to understand event location and set–up instructions.
- Alignment to the JonnyPops mission to spread kindness – JonnyPops is a kindness-based company!
- Rising Juniors or Seniors.
- Preferred Majors: Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Community-Related Majors, or STRONG interest in Event Planning & Coordination!
- Previous event execution or leadership experience required.
- Driver’s License required! Ability to drive personal vehicle throughout the Twin Cities and to both of the JonnyPops Office Locations in Plymouth and Elk River, Minnesota. The home base for this internship will be in Plymouth, Minnesota, but driving to Elk River will be expected whenever needed.
- Must be comfortable driving the company truck (Silverado).
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- $18/hr
