What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Intern position at Jostens?
Events Intern
YOU WILL:
- 10-12 week paid internship between May 2027 through August 2027
- The incumbent will travel domestically to the company’s annual largest event of the year – the JRGC conference, June 13-23, 2027. Potentially, the incumbent would travel to the company’s annual JNYM or JAU conferences.
- Work with the Event Management team on events and customer service, which could include:
- After training, create and manage event registration websites.
- Assist with attendee communications, including pre-event emails and event reminders and customer service inquiries.
- Prepare registration materials, badges, and attendee packets.
- Assist with on-site event execution, registration staffing, and attendee support.
- Compile pre & post-event reports, surveys, and event evaluations.
- Conduct event data audits to ensure registration accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Research venues, suppliers, and vendors for specific event needs.
- Participate in team planning meetings and contribute ideas for attendee engagement.
- Audit and order office supplies as needed.
- Manage Event Inbox and registration changes.
- Coordinate session materials, shipping logistics, event app implementation, and mailings
- Other event tasks as assigned
YOU HAVE:
Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.
- Recent college graduate or enrolled in accredited 4-year undergraduate program majoring in Marketing, Project Management or similar program with 3 years completed
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
- Exceptional MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technical tools and applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize for greatest impact
- Ability to work well both individually and in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to balance multiple tasks and deadlines
- Extended hours may occasionally be required
Preferred:
- Work experience in an office setting
We believe in pay transparency. The hourly rate is $20.00/hour.
