Assistant Store Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Assistant Store Manager to support in leading the Jones Road team in the day-to-day operations of its brick-and-mortar store in Chestnut Hill, MA! The ideal candidate is energetic and experienced in makeup artistry with a passion for clean, natural beauty to assist and educate customers while providing the highest level of customer experience in our store. The Assistant Store Manager will support the store manager in managing front- and back-of-house store operations to create a best-in-class customer experience, training and mentoring the store team of makeup artists, and consistently increase in-store sales performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Liaise with the store manager in leading all day-to-day store activities including, but not limited to, planning, operations, training, customer service, and adhering to store visual standards.
• Step in as the lead point of contact and remain in charge when the store manager is away.
• Ensure proper inventory receiving processes and execution of inventory counts.
• Support in maintaining store inventory and supplies and report any needs to the Store Manager.
• Helps to address any customer complaints and team concerns.
• Drives financial results in store to meet and exceed targets.
• Leads by example to promote exceptional customer service.
• Supports the store manager in upholding company standards.
• Creates a positive and cooperative team culture in store.
• Leads by example with grooming, inspiring your team to always reflect their makeup look, ensuring this is in line with the brands guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in makeup artistry, retail management, hospitality, or a customer-facing role required at a managerial level
• 3 years of experience in leading a team required
• Passion for the Jones Road mission and products, and understanding of the Jones Road clean beauty aesthetic
• Customer-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict management skills
• Proficient in generating weekly reporting, scheduling, and project management to drive sales
• High sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
• Aptitude with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and POS systems
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs
• Live in or near Chestnut Hill, MA
