Managing Bankruptcy Attorney
Remote based in North Carolina
Jones Networking is recruiting a Managing Bankruptcy Attorney for a remote opportunity with a well-established, highly regarded Creditors’ Rights & Litigation law firm based in North Carolina. The Firm offers a compensation package commensurate with experience along with health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Managing Bankruptcy Attorney:
- Oversee and manage the firm’s North Carolina bankruptcy practice, including attorneys and support staff
- Handle and supervise a high-volume caseload of bankruptcy matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely progression
- Review and sign pleadings, motions, and bankruptcy filings for quality and completeness
- Provide guidance on complex bankruptcy issues, including Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and related creditor matters
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering high-quality service
- Monitor team performance, workflows, and deadlines to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Train, mentor, and develop attorneys and staff within the bankruptcy group
- Ensure compliance with federal bankruptcy rules, local rules, and firm policies and procedures
- Collaborate with firm leadership on operational improvements, case management strategies, and team development
Requirements of the Managing Bankruptcy Attorney:
- Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required)
- 5–8 years of experience in bankruptcy law, preferably representing creditors
- Prior supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, federal rules, and local court practices in North Carolina
- Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Client-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
