Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bankruptcy Attorney based in Midlothian, TX. The Bankruptcy Attorney will handle a caseload focused on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, working closely with debtors and creditors to provide legal guidance throughout the bankruptcy process. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing and filing motions, representing clients in court, and negotiating resolutions in alignment with applicable bankruptcy laws. The role requires strong attention to detail, client-focused advocacy, and excellent communication skills to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Bankruptcy Law and a strong understanding of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13.
- Experience working with Debtors and providing client-focused legal guidance
- Expertise in preparing and filing Motions, as well as representing clients during proceedings
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and active Bar membership in Texas
- Ability to work on-site and manage sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience in bankruptcy litigation is a plus
