POSITION SUMMARY
The Roustabout is responsible for supporting daily oil and gas operations through general labor, equipment handling, site maintenance, and safety support. This role is vital to ensure drilling, production, and maintenance activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Roustabouts work under close supervision and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor and industrial environments. The role report to Construction Coordinator in the Carrizo Springs, TX location.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with drilling, completion, production, and maintenance operations as directed by supervisors
- Load, unload, move, and secure pipes, tubing, casing, tools, and equipment
- Perform general rig and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Help rig up and rig down equipment and well sites
- Operate handheld tools and basic machinery (e.g., wrenches, hammers, grinders)
- Assist skilled trades personnel and rig crew as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and environmental regulations
- Participate in safety meetings, job safety analyses (JSAs), and required training
- Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment and report hazards or malfunctions
- Align priorities and results with Jonah Energy asset goals.
- Maintain respectful and productive working relationships within and across all work groups, ensuring effective collaboration and cooperation.
- Foster a work environment that is consistent with the Company’s Purpose, Vision & Core Values.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
- Strict adherence to all company, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to perform manual labor in challenging conditions.
- Immediate reporting of unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-misses.
- Work in temperatures between -20 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit on a seasonal basis.
- Proficient computer skills to work with Microsoft Office, eVin, CygNet.
- Maneuver heavy objects and operate machinery.
- Operate a vehicle safely (in all weather conditions) to drive to oil & gas equipment locations located in rural/open range country.
- Work performed in hazardous driving and working conditions in all seasons of the year.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; effectively converse with all levels of the company, customers, and business associates.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Valid driver’s license

- Previous oilfield or industrial labor experience
