Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Recruiter role based in Houston, TX. The Recruiter will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, and screening for a variety of roles in the electrical and construction sectors. Responsibilities include partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements, drafting and posting job descriptions, and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and industry events. The Recruiter will coordinate interviews, support hiring decisions, manage offer processes, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. The role also involves maintaining accurate talent data, tracking recruiting metrics, and ensuring all hiring practices align with equal employment opportunity and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers and onboarding.
- Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers, understand role requirements, and act as a consultative partner to the business.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, social media recruiting, and basic HR documentation and recordkeeping.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with candidates and team members at all levels.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple requisitions, prioritize tasks, and meet hiring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of or interest in the construction, electrical, or skilled trades industries; experience recruiting for field or technical roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory hiring practices, including applicable employment laws and equal opportunity principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, and occasionally visit job sites or other offices as needed.
