Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions.
• Perform maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and commercial wiring systems while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize testing instruments such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently.
• Conduct renovations and upgrades on existing electrical infrastructure within construction sites or service environments.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, local codes, and safety regulations related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Use construction framing carpentry skills for installing or modifying electrical enclosures or supports when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, schematics updates, and safety checks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians, carpenters, or handymen to complete projects seamlessly.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation settings.
• Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and control wiring is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites involving high voltage and low voltage systems while following NEC guidelines.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematic diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
• Skilled in using hand tools like wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing instruments such as ohmmeters; and power supplies.
• Experience working on construction sites involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems and experience supporting renovation projects will set candidates apart.
• Valid electrician license or certification as a journeyman electrician is required; additional certifications in control systems or industrial electronics are advantageous. Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
