Job Brief:
We are looking for a reliable On-Site Project Manager to supervise construction project progress from contract signing through completion. You will be responsible for daily communication with clients, contractors, and vendors. You will maintain the budget & schedule established by prebuild while also ensuring code compliance, a positive work environment, and clean & orderly job sites for the safety of our clients and the JOMA team.
Responsibilities:
● Client communication on a daily basis
● Review progress daily and maintain an online daily log, including pictures
● Review the project schedule and update as needed
● Review the budget and keep costs on track with estimates
● Help homeowners confirm undecided selections and confirm previous selections before purchasing
● Order project materials from local & online vendors
● Meet crews and subs, onsite daily
● Make supply runs when needed
● Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
● Check on construction workers and subcontractors
● Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones in a quick and cost-effective manner
● Maintain a clean and safe work environment
● Handle warranty issues when they arise
● Foster positive client relationships
Requirements:
● Experienced background in residential remodeling
● Experience in construction management
● Experience with computers and smartphones
● Good communication skills, both written and verbal
● Ability to plan and see the “big picture.”
● Desire to increase knowledge of construction management processes
● Desire to increase knowledge of building products and construction details
● Able to deal with conflict and crisis management
● Able to manage time on multiple projects
● Ability to have a sense of humor, even when things go wrong, and keep a positive attitude
