We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead roofing crews and oversee daily job site operations.
Position Summary:
The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for managing crew activities, ensuring adherence to safety practices, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring quality control. This is a key leadership position that requires commercial roofing system knowledge, strong communication, and operational planning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial roofing projects from start to finish
Supervise multiple crews and subcontractors across various job sites
Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and roofing safety practices, including fall protection
Coordinate daily job site activities, material deliveries, and equipment needs
Track project timelines, budgets, and crew performance
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and suppliers
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship
Operate or supervise the use of heavy equipment as needed
Maintain accurate job records and reporting
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience
At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including:
TPO, PVC, EPDM (Single-ply)
Built-up Roofing (BUR)
Roof Coating Systems
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specs
Excellent communication and leadership skills
