Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software Epic EMR
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to ensure accurate billing processes
- Maintain and update patient records within EPIC EMR system.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, supporting care plans and billing submissions
- Manage medical billing processes including collection of payments and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Support clinical staff by preparing intake forms, updating medical histories, and managing medical records filing
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, multi-line phone system management, and office management duties
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with clinic or dental clinic experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR/EHR system is desirable.
- Ability to perform accurate 10-key typing and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security compliance
- Strong customer service orientation combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment including front desk duties and office support tasks
