Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain high standards of food handling, safety, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations
- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by managing multiple orders smoothly and accurately
- Ensure proper storage of food items, rotating stock, and minimizing waste through effective inventory management
- Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and meal requests
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
