Job Summary

The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, employee movements and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and update employee files (electronic and paper)
  • Ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, HARRI, ADP or equivalent)
  • Process employee status changes (hires, transfers, promotions, terminations
  • Generate HR reports and dashboards as needed
  • Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries
  • Coordinate with payroll and benefits
  • Assist in audits (I-9, personnel files, wage and hour compliance)
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information
  • Support implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Serve as first point of contact for employee HR inquiries
  • Support employee engagement programs and company events
  • Assist in preparing and distribution of HR correspondence, memos, and reports
  • Schedule HR meetings and HR events
  • Support special HR projects and initiatives

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in preparing periodic HR dashboard and other reports that maybe required by management.
  • Perform other assignments from time to time as directed by management.
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary i.e., making copies, filing, etc.
  • Gather and consolidates performance review ratings of assigned business operational unit.
  • Prepare management reports, store reports/requirements.

JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation and Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience perferred
  • Experience in multi-unit or retail/restaurant environment is a plus

Other Qualifications

  • Computer Literacy: Must be at least proficient if not achieved mastery in the essential Microsoft 365 Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams)
  • Physical Effort/Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will:
  • stand/walk occasionally on the scheduled work shift.
  • lift, reach, pull, push, grasp and use hands occasionally.
  • bend and/or squat down occasionally on the scheduled shift.
  • climb, stoop and/or kneel rarely.
  • lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • be required to work irregular hours or varying work shifts schedules as necessary at work.
  • be required to visit plants/warehouses

      • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various reasonable weather conditions and varied climates.
